About


A Student Research Symposium will be held at Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar during December 16-18, 2021 in conjunction with the 19th OITS International Conference of Information Technology (OCIT 2021). The symposium is open to graduate and undergraduate students in the application areas of Information Technology such as Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. This symposium will be organised in association with the ISTE Orissa Section, and the CSI Division-II (Education & Research). Further, the ISTE Student Chapter and the CSI Student Chapter of Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar are also sponsoring of this event.

Track-1: Computer Science and Applications:

Algorithms and Applications, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, IoT, Cloud Computing, Computer Architecture and Embedded Systems, Computer Graphics and Multimedia, Computer Security and Cryptography, Data Mining and Social Networks, Internet and Web Applications, Parallel and Distributed Computing, Soft Computing, Wired/Wireless communication Networking, Mobile Computing, Bioinformatics, Cellular Automata, Text to Speech Conversion, Signal and Image processing, Energy- and power-aware communication.

Track-2: System Engineering and Applications:

Semiconductor devices, VLSI, MEMS, signal processing, communication, networking, microwave communication, optical communication, underwater communication, wireless sensor network, Embedded system, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Biomedical Instrumentation, Computational Instrumentation, Optical Instrumentation, Photonics, Control Systems, RF, microwave, and Antenna, Consumer electronics.

Track-3: Cyber Physical Systems & Applications:

Electrical Circuit Design, Power Electronics Applications, Wide Area monitoring, Control, and Protection, Optimization of Power Systems, Power Quality, Renewable Energy Systems, Smart Grid Technologies, DC Grid-the future possibility, Energy management systems, Electric Vehicle Technologies, IOT-based Home Automation System and Robotics.

Publication


Accepted papers will be published in the special issue of "The Science & Technology Magazine: Digital Digest". Extended version of selected papers will be considered for publication in some reputed journals.

AWARDS

From the presented papers, one paper from each track/area will be selected for an award.

At least one of the authors has to register ONLINE for the Student Research Symposium. The registration fee includes:
participation to conference technical sessions
cost of publication of one paper
However, the registration fee doesn’t include the printing cost of the poster.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES & FORMAT

Manuscripts offering original and unpublished research, case studies and implementations are solicited. The manuscripts need to be formatted as a double column conference format. The template of the paper can be downloaded from (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ocit2021symposium). The maximum length of the manuscript is limited to 4 pages. Manuscripts may be prepared using the following headers:
1. Abstract
2. Introduction
3. Literature Review
4. Methodology
5. Results and Discussion
6. Conclusions & Future work
7. References
All submitted papers will undergo a thorough review process. Authors need to submit a single word file (in .doc/.docx format) at (Link will be provided soon). An accepted paper needs to be registered and presented in the form of poster. The template of the poster will be intimated to the authors of the accepted papers.
